So far this offseason, while the rest of baseball has been consumed with 10-year contracts, posting fees and blockbuster trades, the Indians have been hard at work finding value on the market without breaking the bank. Chris Antonetti has thus far done an adequate job at combing the available arms for starting pitching and bullpen help. Have they been blockbuster moves? No, but the IBI's Jake Dungan says not to be quick to overlook the minor league signings.

The winter ball season is starting to wrap up. Most of the teams will take a small break this week for Christmas and then finish their regular season next weekend and then those that qualify for the playoffs will move on while the rest will go home for the winter. Carlos Santana and Jesus Aguilar look to be on playoff bound teams, but whether or not they play in the playoffs remains to be seen. In any case, both were in action on Saturday, and both impressed once again.
