The Return Of Rosario
July 15, 2009
Anyway, Rosario tore his UCL in his pitching elbow before the 2008 season and ended up having Tommy John surgery and had been sidelined all of the 2008 and 2009 season until last night. In his return to the mound for the first time in almost two years last night, Rosario went just two thirds of an inning and allowed two hits, three runs, one walk, and had one strikeout for the Indians rookie-level Arizona League team. He is still in the early stages of a return to throw program and will be restricted for the rest of the season as he continues to work his way back to 100% from the surgery, but was good to see him out there last night.
