Opening Day Minor League Rosters

Here are the season opening rosters for Columbus, Akron, Kinston and Lake County as well as those who will be in extended spring training. Please note, these rosters are subject to change at anytime before the start of the season on Thursday April 8th as some last minute changes could be made or injuries could occur. Players under each heading are listed in no particular order.

Also, the roster limit for each affiliate is as follows: Columbus (24), Akron (24), Kinston (25) and Lake County (25). You will notice some affiliates have more players than allowed, and this is because some of these players will open the season on the disabled list while the Indians are still making decisions on some other players. This is especially true at Columbus where the infielders need to be whittled down by a player or two.

Last, some rotations have six starters because two of the pitchers in the rotation are expected to piggyback each other every outing with one starting and going five innings and then the other coming in relief and going four innings, and then that person starting the next time and the other coming in relief, etc.
