McFarland SAL Pitcher Of The Week

The South Atlantic League announced today that Captains starting pitcher T.J. McFarland has been named South Atlantic League pitcher of the week for the week of May 4th through the 10th.
McFarland, a 19 year old left hander out of Orland Park, IL, was 1-0 with an ERA of 0.82. He was drafted in the 4th round of the 2007 draft out of Amos Alonzo Stagg High School. McFarland made two starts in which he pitched eleven innings and allowed one run on seven hits, walking four and striking out four. His win came on Sunday versus Kannapolis and was his first of the year.
