Goodyear Notebook: March 21st
Well, I am back in Ohio. You wouldn’t know it though as when I got off the plane in Cleveland on Wednesday afternoon the temperature was 80 degrees. That’s almost 30 degrees warmer than it has been in Phoenix the past few days. It has been a strange winter in Northeast Ohio, but I digress.
Back to baseball…we are now two weeks from opening day. Minor league camp has about another ten days before if breaks and the players either depart for one of the four full season affiliates or they remain in Arizona for extended spring training. Even though I am now back in Ohio, I will continue to post daily spring game reports with recaps of what happened in each minor league game. I also have about seven to eight player features I will be posting over the next ten days.
Yesterday the Indians minor leaguers had their usual morning workout from 9:00 -11:30AM. They spent a bulk of the early part of the workout going over bunt defense and other defensive fundamentals....
