Here is a quick recap of how the players in the Cleveland Indians' system did in fall/winter league action on Tuesday December 28th:
Jerad Head - RF, Gigantes de Carolina: 1-for-5, BB, 2 K. Head was back in action in Puerto Rico on Tuesday night after a week's absence from the lineup. He showed some rust at the plate going 0-for-4 in the first game of the doubleheader, but came back in the second game and went 1-for-1 with a walk.
Jayson Nix - 3B, Senadores de San Juan: 1-for-4, R, RBI, K. Nix continues to do not much of anything offensively out in Venezuela, and in 53 at bats had now walked just 2 times and has 17 strikeouts.
Asdrubal Cabrera - SS, Leones del Caracas: 0-for-3, 3 R, RBI, 2 BB, K. Cabrera did not get a hit, but he walked twice and scored a trio of runs which helped his Caracas team run away with a win and score 18 runs. Due to the blowout win, he was subbed late in the game.
