All three of the major offseason winter leagues were back in action on Tuesday night, and several players throughout the Indians' organization played. Trey Haley, Tyler Holt and Ronny Rodriguez continue to hold their own in the AFL, while Jesus Aguilar went deep for the first time this offseason and Hector Rondon continues his road back to the Major League radar. New Indians manager Terry Francona is still working through the interview process to finalize his coaching staff for the 2013 season. Other than Sandy Alomar Jr and Brad Mills, it is unknown as to what other coaches will be joining his staff. The most important decision Francona makes probably is who comes in to be the new pitching coach, and Adam McGavin chimes in with his thoughts on that and lists several potential candidates that Francona may be considering for the job.
It was a quiet night on the Indians' front with players in action last night thanks to off nights in the Dominican Winter League and Venezuela Winter League. But, the Arizona Fall League was back in action after a day off on Sunday and Tyler Holt and Shawn Armstrong continued their good showing.

With the 2012 season for the big league team and the minor league teams now in the rear view mirror, we wanted to give a quick site update letting readers know what is on tap here at IPI the next several months. The focus has shifted to the action in all the offseason fall and winter leagues, news and opinion articles on the big league team relating to their coaching pursuit, free agency moves, the winter meetings, the Rule 5 Draft, etc, and of course tons of information on the farm system.
With the Arizona Fall League taking the day off, and with Leones del Caracas getting postponed, there wasn't much action for current Indians on Sunday. There were still two players from the advanced levels that performed, and with mixed results. The AFL and Caribbean Winter Leagues proceeded, and IPI was there bringing all the Indians' action. There was a distinct smell of the Carolina League, with eight of nine Indians players mentioned today all with CL experience. Winter leagues continued on Friday, which means a number of Indians players were in action. Jesus Aguilar and Tim Fedroff each recorded hits for their respective teams, and T.J. House put together a brilliant performance in the AFL. The IPI's Steve Orbanek provides all the stats and recaps all the action after the jump.
Here are the full stats for both Double-A Akron and Low-A Lake County during their playoff run this season. In doing the Instructional League and Arizona Parallel League stats we realized we forgot to post the final stats for the two playoff teams, so without further ado here they are. They may be a month late, but better late than never!
It's hard to believe but numerous winter leagues have already been in action for over a full week now. The Indians have a handful of players competing in the different leagues, so there's certainly plenty of reasons for fans to pay close attention. Though sometimes that can get pretty difficult, so the IPI's Steve Orbanek is here to help as he recaps all the action and provides all the stats in his Winter Notebook.
