The win moves the team to 31-31 on the year as the Aeros got back to .500 for the first time since May 13. Akron starting pitcher Jordan Cooper -- who had not started a game since May 21 -- pitched effectively, holding the Sea Dogs to one hit and no runs in six innings.

The Cleveland Indians placed right-hander Zach McAllister on the 15-day DL with a right middle finger sprain and recalled right-hander Carlos Carrasco from Triple-A Columbus Saturday. McAllister's injury was first reported earlier in the week and MLB.com's Jordan Bastian tweets that this is not the same situation as when Adam Miller and Alex White saw their careers derailed. Calling up Carrasco now and starting him today will allow him to pitch while appealing his suspension for throwing at New York Yankees third baseman Kevin Youkilis in his first and only major league start in 2013 on April 9.
