Second Thoughts Games #8 & #9: Indians split doubleheader
Another doubleheader, another split. After a great offensive series against Minnesota and an eight run outburst on Tuesday, the Indians offense slumped in both games on Wednesday. Pitching dominates, Indians split doubleheader with Padres
Even Meat Loaf knows that two out of three ain't bad. The Indians and Padres split Wednesday's traditional doubleheader, as pitching was the game of the game in the twin bill. Despite a win and loss on the day, the Tribe was still able to take the three-game series improving to 8-4 all-time against San Diego since 2003. Nyjer Morgan: Back where he belongs
Few people get to travel the world. For center fielder Nyjer Morgan, he's had to endure just that in order to keep his big league career alive. Signed to a minor league contract this offseason with an invite to spring training, Morgan has quickly impressed Cleveland with his bat and unique veteran presence. Indians pickup two prospects for Hynes, Guilmet
On Sunday the Indians completed a trade with the Dodgers acquiring right-handed pitcher Duke von Schamann in exchange for left-handed pitcher Colt Hynes. Less then 24 hours later the Indians completed a trade with the Orioles acquiring infielder/outfielder Torsten Boss in exchange for right-handed pitcher Preston Guilmet.

Despite winning their first home opener since 2008, the Indians pitching woes turned out to be too much for the offense to overcome, even after they scored seven runs on Sunday. Justin Masterson struggled with command as he gave up six runs (five earned) in three and two-thirds innings.
