Giovanni Soto, the starting pitcher acquired in the Jhonny Peralta trade in 2010, pitched the first-ever solo no-hitter in Canal Park history. Soto, who has been alternating between spectacular and frustrating over his career, moved his record to 8-8 on the season. The 21-year-old dropped his ERA nearly a half a run, lowering it to 3.73.
