History: Chen was signed as a free agent in September of 2007 out of Taiwan. He was a third baseman and pitcher in Taiwan, but was converted to a catcher when he joined the organization. He played in MLB’s Futures Game over All Star weekend in 2010. He finished 9th in the organization in batting average (.308) and was 5th in the Eastern League in batting average (.308), 9th in doubles (30), and 4th in on-base percentage (.394).
