History: Howard was selected in the 2nd round of the 2011 Draft out of Searcy High School (AR), and had a verbal commitment to attend the University of Arkansas but signed for $1.85 million. In 2011 he was named the Arkansas Gatorade Player of the Year and in the summer of 2010 was named the MVP at the Connie Mack World Series while playing for the Midland Redskins.
