History: Santander was signed by the Indians in July of 2011 out of Venezuela for $385,000. Last season he finished 14th in the Arizona League in batting average (.305), 5th in doubles (15), 13th in RBI (32), 20th in total bases (76), 18th in on-base percentage (.381), 9th in slugging percentage, and 13th in OPS (.874). He also finished 10th in the organization in hitting (.305).
