2013 Goodyear Notebook: March 18th
Before I get into the notebook I wanted to note that today (Tuesday) is a camp day. Camp days are short days where the minor leaguers all have a brief morning workout and then play short five inning inter-squad games at about 10am at the back fields. Everyone is usually out of the complex by 12 or 12:30pm.
When a camp day arrives it often means cuts are coming. The Player Development staff will be able to see everyone one last time on Tuesday and then will have meetings in the afternoon as they begin to finalize some things with the rosters and make decisions on who to cut. The unfortunate reality is that as many as 15-25 players this spring will be released, and the first batch of releases could come on Wednesday or Thursday morning.
Brown is healthy and back in the mix
