2012 Indians Draft: 7/12 Signing update
UPDATED 11:05 PM ET: McClure has been signed for $765K and Hamrick for $180K. With their signings, the Indians now have all of their top 10 picks signed and have $220K leftover from their bonus pool that they can use toward the signing of a player not taken in the top 10 rounds. This should allow them to sign one or two more players, and one of those could very well be Logan Vick (11th round) or Andrew Calica (17th round).
5:01 PM ET: With less than 24 hours before the 5:00pm ET signing deadline on Friday, here is a brief – yet very noteworthy - update today on some high profile players still yet to be signed:
4th round pick outfielder D’Vone McClure will sign on Friday; at least that is what he told me in an email on Thursday. Details of his deal are unknown at this time, but he is expected to be signed well over the “slot” for his pick ($315K). He was expected to sign all along,...
