Jake Dungan
Columnist
Jake Dungan is a proud Akron, Ohio native and lifelong Cleveland Indians fan. Currently enrolled in college, he hopes to become a professional baseball columnist and reporter.
In 2007 when the Indians defied the odds and came one game shy of their first American League pennant in ten years, Jake fell in love with the game of baseball and became a devout follower of the game. Being from Akron, Jake also spends many summer nights at Canal Park cheering on the Indians AA affiliate Aeros.
In addition to baseball, Jake also enjoys a good game of football both college and pro. Keeping with the local pride, his favorite teams are the Cleveland Browns, Ohio State Buckeyes and Kent State Golden Flashes.
One of Jake’s main hobbies is music. He can rock out on both piano and bass and currently plays with a couple different bands part-time. Anything rock ‘n’ roll, especially classic rock is the best way to describe his taste in music. From The Beatles to The Black Keys and just about everything in between, Jake loves them all.
Other favorite pastimes include fishing and golf, that is of course when Ohio whether permits it. When there’s no game on, Jake also enjoys kicking back and watching classic sitcom reruns as well as listening to podcasts. During the summer, you can also find him hanging out at the park with his dog.
