Second Thoughts Game #59: Indians 4, Yankees 6
The Indians were swept out of Broadway on Wednesday, losing to the Yankees 6-4 in an afternoon tilt. Corey Kluber struggled early and then pitched well the rest of the way, but former Indians lefty CC Sabathia led the way with a complete game win for the Yankees. The Indians are reeling and have now lost 12 of their last 16 games, and get set for an important series with the Tigers this weekend. The IBI's Michael Goodman shares his second thoughts on the game...

Around The Farm: June 5, 2013
Baseball is a game of adjustments. The pitcher decides to throw a curveball after the batter hit his last fastball for a home run; a batter moves up in the box expecting an off-speed pitch; a shortstop moves toward second base because the batter has a knack for hitting the ball right back up the middle; any of these little shifts can change the outcome of a game. Sometimes players make big adjustments and it seems to lead to a breakthrough. To find out who might have made such a breakthrough and all you need to know about Wednesday in the minor leagues, join Jim Piascik and go Around The Farm.

Yes folks, he received it in the mail. Join Jim Pete at the Corner of Carnegie and Ontario as he takes another look at Chris Perez, and the alleged allegations.

They talked about the talent in this year’s draft, their plans with the fifth pick, their philosophy changes over the years, some adjustments they have made to their scouting of starting pitching, the process of setting up their draft board, what they do the week of the draft to get prepared for it, the decision making process, and so on.

On-Deck with the Captains: 5/29/13 - 6/4/13
The Lake County Captains were on the road most of the past week, and it was a successful road trip as they crafted their first multi-game win streak with four straight. The team went 5-2 for the week, including a split double-header complete with a walk-off against Bowling Green last Wednesday and a series win in Dayton. Second Thoughts Game #58: Indians 3, Yankees 4
A four-run third inning by Scott Kazmir was the lone blemish in eight otherwise decent innings by the Indians pitching staff, but the offense was never really able to get on track all night - partly thanks to some brutal umpiring behind homeplate all night. The IBI's Jake Dungan recaps another tough loss for the Indians as they dropped their 11th game in 15 tries.

McAdams brings the power with his bat and arm
Cleveland Indians outfield prospect Josh McAdams has been in the organization for close to a year now. Around this time last year he was selected in the 7th round of the draft straight out of Calhoun High School in Georgia, and has enjoyed the ride since signing with the Indians. He brings a ton of power potential with his bat and arm, and Tony recently had a chance to sit down and talk with the talented youngster.

Launching off with the Aeros: 5/28/13 – 6/3/13
The Akron Aeros won four of their six games over the past week and moved to 26-31 on the season. The team remains in fifth place in the Western Division -- six games out of first place -- though the Aeros began to climb out of the hole they dug by losing 12 of 15 from May 13-May 28. The Aeros won with decent starting pitching, a mostly lights-out bullpen, and the continued emergence of a top prospect. To find out which top prospect is emerging and all you need to know about the team, join Jim Piascik and go Launching off with the Aeros.

Second Thoughts Game #57: Indians 4, Yankees 7
The Indians' tough nearly month-long stretch of games continued on Monday as they traveled to New York behind their ace. Said ace turned in a rare poor start, an All-Star likely hobbled his way onto the disabled list, and the team's struggles against the Yankees and the American League East in general continued. All of that added up to a loss and Kevin Dean shares his "second thoughts" on the game...

Around the Farm: June 3, 2013
There were a lot of interesting back-stories in Monday's minor league games. Would Lonnie Chisenhall continue his hitting streak, which was currently sitting at 12 games? Could Shawn Morimando continue his scoreless innings streak after winning the Carolina Pitcher of the Week award? Would Tyler Naquin continue his multi-hit game streak alive? Join Jim Pete for Monday's ATF to find out the answer to those questions, and much, much more.
