College kid too, for what it's worth. Bound for the CWS maybe.

Dace Kime 6'5 220 RHSP Louisville mid - 90's FB has been a reliever but moved into the rotation earlier this yr. he's a four pitch guy.
Here's mlb.com's take on him...
The Pirates drafted Kime out of Definance (Ohio) High School, also the alma mater of Chad Billingsley and Jon Niese, in 2010, but he chose to attend college instead of sign. Kime, a right-handed pitcher, spent much of his career at Louisville as a reliever, but was moved into the rotation in late April. Scouts believe he has the potential to remain a starter as a professional. His fastball sits in the low- to mid-90s and he mixes it with a curveball, cutter and changeup. Kime uses his 6-foot-5, 219-pound frame to get a good downhill angle and creates a lot of groundballs as a result

Kime wasn't on my radar, but is a solid pick. A reliever with untapped starter upside. Pretty sick SO/9 numbers. Should save some money for one of the next picks too. Would have preferred Wahl, Mitchell or Mazek though

I read some glowing reviews on him, thought he might go round 4, but I like him I think he's an upside college arm. I expect we will see a few more today.

Big boy with a power arm - sounds like a Zach Mcallister body type. Interesting to take a college reliever and projecting to a starter. Obviously they see some tools and potential to develop a few more of his pitches. At worst we move him back to the bullpen.

Not really surprised with Kyle Crockett. He's a guy had as a 5th Rd pick. I've seen him in the top 100, somewhere around 90.

Meh not crazy about Crockett...arm slot probably assures him of a lefty specialist role in the future. Would've much rather taken a starting prospect.

Here's what mlb.com had to say about Crockett...

Crockett has been a mainstay of Virginia's bullpen for three years. This year he moved into the closer's role, where he excelled. Crockett increased his velocity this spring and his fastball now is clocked in the low-90s. Hitters find his sweeping slider hard to lay off of. But Crockett's best asset is his excellent command. He didn't issue his first unintentional walk this year until May 12, 39 innings into the season. Crockett's deceptive, low-three-quarters delivery makes him tough on left-handers. He has a steady demeanor on the mound and could quickly pitch his way to the Major Leagues.

Tribe clearly went with a signability guy and a LH reliever too. He should bring a quick return for the Tribe.

If they can sign him for below slot.....I'm ok with a LHP BP arm......he's a strike thrower and has a very good chance of being useful at the show......

Was just thinking this. By default (assuming he's signed) he becomes the top lefty relief prospect right? I'm not even aware of any in the system (Hagadone/Barnes obviously don't count as prospects anyway).

4th round just seems a little high for a guy who has no chance of starting. Would have much rather taken Wahl or another SP prospect...much easier to convert a guy from starting to relief than it is to find SP.

PG on Brady: Three pitch mix & command, 89-91, touches 93, K'ed 90 in 44 IP, 0.74 ERA. "Mid-seventies change and curve are polished offerings and he has plus command potential."

Slight discrepancy in height as the draft tracker has him at 5'10" & PG has him at 6'.

Soto is prolly the number #1 LHBP prospect right now, but its more by default then ability..

A "safe" cheap pick.. Any chance he helps the tribe --- This year?

Casey Shane 6'4 200
Here's what mlb.com had to say about him...
One of the youngest players in this draft class, Shane, a right-hander, won't turn 18 until August. Still, he has shown an advanced feel for pitching at Centennial High School. Shane's fastball sits in the low-90s with heavy sink. His 6-foot-4, 200-pound frame allows him to throw from a good downward plane. Shane also throws a biting slider and good changeup. All three of his pitches have a chance to be at least Major League-average offerings. He isn't afraid to come after hitters with any of his three pitches, but he relies heavily on his fastball. Shane is committed to Texas A&M

Kenny Matthews

Here's what mlb.com had to say...
Mathews began his college career at Cal State Fullerton before transferring to Riverside City College this year. Despite lacking premium velocity, he succeeded at both Fullerton and Riverside. Mathews’ fastball sits in the mid-80s and occasionally touches 89 mph. But his ability to command his fastball allows him to compete without better velocity. Mathews also throws a curveball and a changeup. He can locate his offspeed pitches as well as his fastball, and he earns high marks for his pitchability. Mathews is listed at 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds and has proven to be a workhorse, pitching in the rotation and out of the bullpen this season.

Seen reports that he sits 86-87. Obviously still not good. Very athletic guy though. A taller, left handed version of Tomlin is probably best case. Not my favorite pick though maybe he does add some velocity.
