Pop ups?

Hey, is anyone getting any pop ups? I had someone tell me that one popped up today here on the boards, and there was one that popped up one day on the front page of the site. But I haven't heard or seen any other examples. If you have seen ANY pop ups let me know....there should not be any. Especially any unsuitable content pop ups like porn and the like.

I got a pop up yesterday while checking the site on my android phone. It was a congrat you one an I phone 5 thing.

I have got the iPhone winner pop up on my iPhone each time it was on the front page.

Because Tony uses a Microsoft based advertising platform for IPI, his non-pop up ads (banners and the like) Ad-Choice is automatically a part of your system. Just go to Ad - Choice and opt out of receiving them. Here is the link to change it on your computer. Please follow the instructions. https://choice.microsoft.com/

At least, that's what I think it may be. It could be something else.

Ok, thanks. I just checked on my phone and got that pop up myself for the iPhone. I apologize. That should not be happening and I am looking into it. I think somehow the site may have a bug or something and I am having it looked into.

If anyone else is seeing pop ups through a device other than your phone, let me know. I have yet to see any via my laptop and that is what I use 99.9% of the time, so I have been unaware of the issue.

I never get pop ups when using my desktop.

However, I do get pop ups on the front page when using an android tablet with the Dolphin browser. Annoying too, because you can't get rid of it without leaving the site (IPI).

I've had pop ups on my iPhone several times, yesterday I had one on my iPad - which was the first I've ever had on it.

I guess this is a reminder of sorts but I had a pop up today on my IPad, which is only the second time that's ever occurred but I'd recommend checking your settings on whatever you use to browse the net. I know from experience that I change settings on occasion, so it's always a good idea to review your settings and security.

Okay, I think we resolved the issue. It should be fixed....though there could be a lag of a few hours.

Let me know if any of you guys continue to see any of those pop ups. Like I said, they should not be happening and I am embarrassed with some of the stuff that was popping up. Thanks for the heads up!

Okay, been a week since the update. I have not seen any emails or anything from anyone and when I have browsed on my phone I have not seen any pop ups. Anyone else still seeing any?

I've been getting Verizon Wireless pop ups on my IPad sporadically.

I have removed everything that could be causing the pop ups....let me know if you are still getting them. You may need to refresh and delete your temp files or cache (I think....I'm not good with that kind of stuff).

Just checking in.....any pop ups? Hate to keep asking....but want to make sure this problem has been nipped in the bud. I have been viewing the site a lot more on my iPhone lately and haven't had any pop up issues.....but want to make sure. THANKS.

No pop-ups but, for some reason, the boards don't seem to keep me logged in any more..... which is a bit annoying!

FYI, I am aware of the sitewide issue right now. Server crash and also some other things going on affecting things.

Also, I know some pop ups were popping up again today.....that issue should be resolved.

Tony... This may be as good as anyplace to put this comment.. A couple of house keeping issues..

-Right align of the postings is now uncontrolled. There appears to be a 400 character line before the next line returns. What's up with this?

-Latest comment posting exists.. but no icon to click on to go directly to it.. what's with that?..

Seems like a pair of format issues.. any suggestions?

Thanks everyone.....these boards are outdated and for whatever reason we are unable to update them.

We are working on a fix so hang in tight! Might mean a new (and better) board. Stay tuned!
