"Actually, nobody had a decent season except Brantley, Choo, Kipnis (first half only), Pestano, Smith, and Perez. "

I submit that Choo has NOT had a good year. He failed miserably - miserably - twice in the center of the lineup where he is supposed to drive in runs. LOL - he has been a great leadoff hitter, Choo has stunk out the house in where he was supposed to be a run producer. LOL - barf me - he is a great leadoff hitter.

LOL

Boras - you ruined a good player.

Prosecutor, your comments are way off.

The root of the problem goes all the way to the owner.

Willing to make a huge wager with you, trade Masterson and Ubaldo to teams with good offenses, a winning environment and watch how well they do. Same guys, different teams and we get prospects back for them. That's insanity.

Ya, like the fans are really going to buy into that. The fans who are leaving this team in droves.

Your way off. You've been Shapiroized.

ironmike & group....It'd be great if the Dolans were willing or able to invest more money into their major league payroll. To have a stronger payroll could be helpful.

Since the late 90's (BEFORE the Dolans bought the team)...the Indians have had a declining track record of drafting and developing very many star major-league players....and most major trades in this period have blown up in their faces.

If this organization is unable to develop enough quality talent and make at least reasonably effective trades....how on earth can the Indians ever honestly expect to have any chance of winning another World Series title?

Like many of us have been saying: you can't fire the owners. Virtually every on-field employee position in the Cleveland Indians Baseball Company has been turned over again and again and again since the late 90's. And, the generally mediocre to poor record remains.

Except the one consistency though all these mediocre years: Mark Shapiro and other key decisionmakers in the front office are still there.

There are other small-to-mid-revenue market teams that have performed better to much better in this period than the Indians. So, while the plight isn't easy...it can and is being done elsewhere.

What really needs to be done is so obvious, it bewilders me why more fans on this forum can't see it.
