Browns V Bengals, September 11, 2011
Okay.. so far, 7 minutes into the game.. the Browns have six penalties and a 21 yard punt... leading to a Bengals field goal.. This team looks:
-poorly coached
-poorly prepared
just flat out poor..

As a guy who didn't want Mangini gone, this game seemed to confirm my worst fears. The team was absolutely not disciplined, which was the one area where Mangini excelled. Also, all of my fears about the transition to the 4-3 were realized. I still don't understand that one. Our defense was okay despite the injuries last year. Losing Ryan as a D coordinator, along with some of the d-line and LB talent we let go, really is hurting right now. How can you let the Bengals hang 27 points on you?
I think this is absolutely a rebuilding year now. I have almost no optimism for this team this year.

Seems like this thread is in the wrong forum but o well.
I agree, team was way too undisciplined yesterday and just didn't look prepared at all. Am willing to cut Shurmur some slack for it being his 1st real game ever as a headcoach but pretty bad overall. Team came up unprepared and then not callign a timeout there on that TD pass to green was pretty bad (especially his excuse after the game).
One bright spot is the Colts looked terrible. Still have lot to improve on going forward.
