Mobile Ap
Tony,
As a daily follower of Indians Prospect Insider you know I love the site. However, I think it would be great if IPI was available with a mobile site option or ap. Sites such as MLB Trade Rumors and Baseball-reference.com now have mobile sites. The regular site does kind of get dragged down on my Android, (and don't ask how many times I fat-finger the touch screen for a link). A mobile site would be very convenient for those of us with smartphones.
Just something I thought I would mention for your wish list.

Thanks for the feedback. Something I am actually in the process of doing....creating an app for the site. It is not free and has a cost involved, but I am thinking about going with it. I am working on completing one for the iPhone first and once approved it should also soon be available for Windows phone and Android. I will let know when it is available!

Of course, if I charged $.99 or $1.99 for the app, that would alleviate the cost concerns......but I am not sure how it would be received by everyone if they had to pay for it.

I would certainly pay for it. Was also going to suggest this at some point. It is very inconvenient trying to do this on my phone. That would be great. Please let us know.

A dilema, sort of,,,. IPI has always been free, even though it is far more valuable than many premium sites. I would buy it, but that's just me. Maybe you need a survey to find out how many IPI followers have smart phones?
Non-intrusive advertising is also a good idea. Perhaps TiqIQ, or the fine folks at STO.
Good luck.

I do, and I would be willing to pay for it.

Speaking of which, does anyone know of a good minor league baseball app for Android to follow the games?

Currently operating with a dumbphone, but when I get a smartphone, an IPI app would be a first day purchase for me.

Re: Mobile Ap
Instead of developing a mobile app, perhaps you could look into making the site mobile compatible?
I'm no computer expert, so I have no idea if that's any easier or cheaper, but as long as the site is accessible easily on a mobile browser, then a specific app wouldn't be necessary.

I would buy it. As far as exposure goes it would probably get more purchases and looks if it were free.
I have an iPhone and that's what I use most of the time to log in or out.
As far as making it more mobile friendly not sure how it works... But I take Bible College classes all online, and they have recently changed the domain to a mobile friendly site. I like the newer site better it's much easier to browse and something to consider.

Got shelved because of my health issue....but is still something I plan to unveil soon. Right now I am doing a site redesign and hope to have that finished in a week or two, and then after that will complete the mobile app.

Haven't forgotten about this. With the draft over, I am finishing up a new site design to unveil next week. After that I will be working on completing this new mobile app.

Tony,
I fired up my droid today, and BAM - IPI loaded up in a flash.
The mobile site seems very clean and fast. It does seem to lack some links though.
There doesn't seem to be a way to get to the Forum. It would be great if that could be added.

Good to hear it loaded quickly. The mobile site is very stripped down, and for now until some things can be changed the only way to get to the forums is to click on the view full site button or just save the forums as a favorite. I'll see about getting the forums added as a link though.

Re: Mobile Ap
My droid is still sending me to the "regular" home page. Might be because I'm using opera mobile instead of the default browser. Is there a URL for the mobile version?

Re: Mobile Ap
Are you going to make an actual app or just the mobile site? Either way, the mobile site is very nice and helps a lot. And will the boards be mobile compatible?

Will be making an app in addition to mobile site. Also working on a redesign of the boards to make them better and also more mobile compatible.
