Lou Brown died!

Postby Hermie13 » Thu Jul 22, 2010 12:59 pm

Wow, not sure how this hasn't been brought up.....but James Gammon (aka, Manager Lou Brown) passed away on Friday, July 16th at the age of 70. James, you will be missed. :s_cry

And do you believe in angels? Dies on Friday.....the day the Tribe starts their 6 game winnings streak, longest EVER after an All-Star break. Coincidence? I think not.

Miracle comeback in the works? :drinks:

"All right people, we got 10 minutes 'till game time, let's all gather 'round. I'm not much for giving inspirational addresses, but I'd just like to point out that every newspaper in the country has picked us to finish last. The local press seems to think that we'd save everyone the time and trouble if we just went out and shot ourselves. Me, I'm for wasting sportswriters' time. So I figured we ought to hang around for a while and see if we can give 'em all a nice big shitburger to eat!"

This should be the official rallying cry for the Tribe the rest of the year.

When I heard about this, I watched the movie in tribute. I must have seen that movie more than ten times. My favorite line of Brow'ns is the classic, "Forget about the curveball, Ricky! Give him the heater!"

RIP Lou Brown.
