ugh.....Dustin Pedroia....
It just keeps getting worse and worse.....
Dustin Pedroia won te AL MVP today. Why, o why couldn't the Tribe have traded for him instead of Marte? I know I couldn't have been the only one clamoring for him instead. Imagine our IF right now....Pedroia at 2B, AC at SS, and Peratla at 3B. Could conceivably have 2 GGers up the middle. ugh, o well I guess......
At least we stole Shoppach from them......

It's life. I don't think we ever really had a chance to get Dustin in the Coco trade.

Pedroia doesn't fit the template that the Indian organization prefers ( keeps mouth shut, goes to bible study, etc.) On the other hand, his arrogant punk persona is the perfect match in Boston.

Marte was ranked their #1 prospect and Pedroia was like #5.....I think if Shapiro really wanted him, he could have gotten him in that deal. Shapiro and company were going for a power 3B.....can't totally fault them, but Dusty was that high OBP guy we really needed and still do.......

I honestly don't know if Dustin's douchebaggery is worth the stats. He's one of my least favorite players in baseball, along with his buddy Youkilis. They make me sick, as does everything associated with Red Sox Nation.

yeah, but if he had never played for the Red Sox and was with the Indians, you'd feel differently.
Belle was the biggest low life ever....yet fans loved him.
Ramirez was an absolute idiot....yet fans loved him.
Even Lofton was a jerk...yet fans REALLY loved him (all three times).

True on Belle and Lofton, but Ramirez is just so absent-minded that the stuff he does makes me laugh instead of get angry.

Not that much differently. Recent past example would be Milton Bradley, a jerkwad of the nth degree who i was sorry to see come and happy to see go. Older past example .. Ken "the Hawk" Harrelson was a preening self-anointed playboy who quickly wore out his welcome in Cleveland. I remember Pete Franklin saying something to the effect of " I couldn't warm up to the Hawk if we were cremated together".

I knew Hawk was the worst broadcaster in baseball, but I had never heard about his playing days. Even more reason to hate the piece of crap.

Milton fights with coaches and players.....Dustin is just stuck up. I'd take that on my team if it wins games.....
