Adam Eaton cut by the Phillies

I'm NOT saying we should sign him. Reason I'm bringing it up is to because the Phillies are still on the hook for over $8M for 2009 for him.....

Could see the tribe pull off a similar move with Dellucci in the next 4-8 weeks depending on how he plays and guys like Crowe, LaPorta, and Francisco play....

Tribe is only on the hook for $4M with Looch......lot easier to cut ties with that than $8M like the Phillies just did......

One 'out there' scenario is the Indians lettign Looch go before opeing day and letting Crowe make the team. This would help with the logjam of players at AAA. Head could then start in the OF and there'd be a spot for Marte and Aubrey on the bench/DH.

Yeah, I know it isn't that big a deal to lose one of Marte and Aubrey.....

But who would you rather lose.....Looch or one of those two?

Honestly though, I don't see it happening....at least before opening day. Think Looch will last at least til the middle-end of May....but suppose you never know....

I kinda want to see the trio of outfields start in Columbus for a bit, get Crowe some regular at-bats before they send him up. I think it's obvious Dellucci won't last on the roster all year unless he does a whole lot to prove otherwise.

Well, a post of "Adam Eaton cut by Phillies" immediately implies that you are saying "he was cut should we have any interest in him?". Whereas, going by the subject of the thread, maybe something like "Phillies cut Eaton, could the Indians cut Dellucci?" may have not been misleading. :s_wink
