Crisp Traded to KC
The Kansas City Royals picked up the leadoff hitter they had been seeking on Wednesday, acquiring center fielder Coco Crisp from the Boston Red Sox for reliever Ramon Ramirez.

Don't know if it necessarily means no Teahen......but no trading a CFer.....
Royals could still be looking to move Teahen. Use DeJesus in LF, Coco in CF, and Guillen in RF......
Doubt we'll be seeing him, but still a backup option.....

KFFL reporting that Alex Gordon could possibly be dealt.
There is a guy I would want, BIGTIME.

I doubt that the Royals would trade him within the division. There are a number of teams who'd be willing to pony up the prospects for him, more than Shapiro's comfortable with I think.

thats more than likely a very false rumor, hes cheap and under contract and at worst a solid player. Its a trade that could not happen because KC will over value and everyone will under value since hes been mediocre

Yeah, I think they'd move Billy Butler before they moved Gordon.....

Re: Crisp Traded to KC
I would give them David Huff and a low level guy for Gordon.
That might be low, but a package of Huff and McBride along with another mid level pitcher or big league bullpen guy could interest them.

With McBride still coming back from injury, I just don't see them biting on that deal.
Plus if you're gonna go after someone that'll cost a lot from the Royals it should be Soria, not Gordon.

Why shouldn't we go after Gordon?
Solid defensively, dramatic improvement offensively last season.
The guy could be a star in the making 3rd baseman. Not knocking Soria, but it seems as though since they traded Ramon Ramirez already would not be that willing to part with another back end guy.

its his third year and i think its safe to say he wont turn into a star but they still value him as a corner stone so he would take a lot more than that if you ask for Gordon they will ask for Santana

I just don't see Gordon as a big enough improvement to throw a lot at a divisional opponent. Soria is one of the best closers in the league right now, plus cheap. He'd be a huge addition and help this team more.
