Ok, you have a gun to your head and you have these choices: Shelley Duncan or Tamura or pull the triger?

I select a different in-house option - Nick Weglarz

Interesting....I doubt much comes of this though. I know the Indians are hoping to increase their presence in the Pacific Rim, but I am not sure this is the right guy.

Duncan better be DFAed in a few weeks. Grady, Brantley, and Choo in the OF with Crowe as backup. We don't need Duncan clogging up a roster spot this winter. If you want to bring him back on a minor league deal? Then that's fine.
I'm glad the Tribe is scouting Tamura. Really what's the harm? You must consider all options when you're the Tribe. Don't see the benefit of signing him unless we traded Grady (or Choo) this winter, which is not happening.
I don't see what Weglarz has to do with this particular situation. He's not going to be a bench guy when brought up....so as long as Brantley, Grady, Choo, and Hafner are here, he's stuck in AAA.

Does he at least bat RH? We have almost exclusively LH bats and could use a righty. LaPorta may be the key to the '11 season... even guys in the minors are almost all LH with a few switch-hitters tossed in...

Yes, he bats right-handed.
