2014 Mahoming Valley Scrappers

Season starts Tuesday, going to be interesting to see how Meija does because I wouldn't consider Eastwood a hitters park

Eastwood is a funny field.. The only "home run ally" IMO is to right field.. aside from that, it's pretty much pitcher friendly. I'm also excited to see McClure.

Very underwhelming team this year, no hitting. They have nearly been no hit twice in their first homestand and were shutout both games

I saw them Friday night, Mejia and McClure both look like they could be solid. Mejia looked very good behind the plate, really in charge, constantly moving fielders and handling himself like a 25-year-old. McClure is athletic and seems to have a good eye. Neither Zimmer or Allen played. I see they broke out the lumber today, with Allen, Patterson and Merryweather making strong debuts. Still no Zimmer in the line-up, though he's been with them since Friday.

TJ House on the mound for the Scrappers tonight? Just trying to give him some work?

Enjoy the look at a big league arm, he's basically staying active and in routine.

House looked good and sharp.. granted take with a grain of salt because of competition. Papi was promoted to LC.

Might be the worse MV team ever. Outside of Brady there's nothing that great about anyone on the team Zimmer and Allen included. And Dejesus really fell off the face of the earth.

Meija looks OK behind the plate, he's only 18 but he will be back in AZ or MV next year, that's guaranteed. Very long term project.

Zimmer has no power whatsoever, granted he hit his first HR last night but I'll take NaQuins hitting strength over Zimmers and at least NaQuin has the contact and speed to make up for lack of power. He looks OK on D but his bat i s really far off, and it looks a bit slow, I see high 80s FBs get blown by him often

Allen is fast, but this kid Valdez is a lot faster

Sean Brady looks dominant at times, he even had a 3-4 game streak of allowing only 2 runs or so. He should be up at LC soon according to some with the team.
