would it be possible to compare him to pedroia, at least in terms of his hitting potential

I'm not sure, but I'd definitely take the hitting ability as long as he doesn't have Pedroia's personality. He is one of the many many many reasons I loathe the Red Sox.

Pardon my French, but why does it seem like all the assholes end up on the Red Sox? Pedroia, Youkilis, Papelbon, etc...

I'd actually love to have a guy like Pedroia on my team.. I guess he fits in that category of players you love if they are with you, or hate if they are against you.

No freaking kidding. It made losing that 3-1 lead even more horrible. Watching those chumps fall to the Rays tonight was absolutely priceless, although I couldn't help but be jealous.

Rays and Phillies show the new way of baseball now, and that is you get your own stars from within.

Its easy to get your stars from within when you pick in the top-5 in the draft every year!

Re: Lonnie Chisenhall Scouting Report With Video
Actually the Phillies are mostly home grown with only one top 10 pick (Burrell).
Ruiz Panama FA signing
Howard 5th round
Utley 15th pick 1st round
Rollins 2nd round
Victorino Rule 5 pickup
Werth Great FA signing
Hamels 17th pick 1st round
Myers 12th pick 1st round
Kendrick 7th round
Moyer FA signing
Madson 9th round
Romero Good FA signing
Lidge Great FA signing
This is how the Indians should be contending. With good draft choices and smart FA signings.
The Rays only have 2 top 5 draft choices playing regularly.
So while getting the top 5s helped, it was far from the reason they are in the WS.

I was talking about the Rays, not the Phillies. Baldelli was a #6 overall pick. BJ Upton, #2 overall. Delmon Young, who they traded for Garza, #1 overall. Longoria, #3 overall. David Price, who has pitched well, #1 overall. Plus their draft picks in subsequent rounds were corresponding top picks. Their lowest pick in the draft from 1999-2008 has been #8 overall, and they have had the #1 pick four times. I'd say the draft slots have an awful lot to do with why they are in the WS.

Re: Lonnie Chisenhall Scouting Report With Video
You're correct.
Lidge and Bruntlett for Geary, Bourn and Costanzo.
Bruntlett was a poor utility guy.
Geary was very good. Bourn was a diaster. Costanzo was then traded in the Tejada trade and flopped in AAA.
Turned out well for Philly.
