Interview with Brantley and his agent this Thurs @ 9:30pm

Postby TonyIBI » Sun Oct 05, 2008 3:02 pm

Okay, Josh Kusnick (Brantley's agent) will be on my radio show this Thursday at 9:30pm ET. The direct link to Thursday's show is below:

http://www.blogtalkradio.com/TheClevela ... d-Fan-Live

Josh will be on for a few segments and Paul and I will ask the obvious questions pertaining to the Indians trade for Brantley and other things, and the phone lines will be open for anyone who wants to call in to speak to Josh and ask whatever they want. Phone number to call is 646-716-8012.

Michael Brantley himself will also be on, but as an FYI will not be taking calls from the fans (only his agent). As a reminder, for those that cannot listen live, the show is podcasted and can be downloaded and listened to at anytime by visiting the links I provided above.

Also, I am going to post a lengthy article on the trade and a get-to-know-him piece sometime this week. If anyone has any specific questions you would like asked to any of Michael or Josh, please post them here or e-mail me at tlastoria@gmail.com. I want to be sure to ask everything and anything that is on the mind's of the fans.

EDIT: Sun @ 8:35 pm ET

Okay, just talked to his agent for over an hour. He is going to be on Thursday for sure and we'll talk about a lot of stuff. Also, he would love to talk to fans, so feel free to call in and ask him anything you want. Very straight forward guy, so he'll answer just about anything without any BS. Feel free to ask anything about Brantley, or anything else.

Also, Brantley is scheduled to call in as well. But he will not be taking calls (understandable). Me and Paul will interview him for 5-15 minutes.

Should be a fun show this Thurs.

I have read this guy's blog and know that he represents dominican free agents. Maybe you could ask him if he knows the real edward salcedo story.

Not 100%, but I believe he does not have any other Cleveland clients. Although, I expect that to change by the end of next season. Guy works his ass off, and is bound to pick up some Cleveland guys this year.

Just talked to brantley. He'll be on for sure at about 10pm on Thurs.

Also, that 6'2" 180 he is listed at? That was his draft height/weight as an 18-year old. He is now a shade under 6'3" and 195+.

Great to hear from Brantley and Josh. Great show.

Any chance of getting Laporta or Santana on the show sometime?

Santana would be hard because he is so hard to understand since he is still learning English. But, yeah, at some point next year I plan to get LaPorta on if possible. When the season starts up, I am going to try and have one guy on a week......although I am probably be a bit unrealistic with that expectation.

Just wanted to say great interview, Tony I have listened to everyone since the start and they are getting better each time, no negative intended there, defiantly a nice thing to listen to on my Friday subway commutes

Josh and Micheal were great to hear, and Josh at least to me was especially interesting because of how he looks at the game

Great stuff. Josh is really entertaining, he knows his stuff.

Brantley was real impressive as well. Seemed real cool and relaxed about everything

Thanks guys. Josh actually wants to come back on again, and may even appear this week with news from the AFL since he goes out to Arizona today. Not an hour talk like before, but could be a good 5-15 one depending on the subject. Wish to God he had as many Indians clients as he does Brewers clients because he is excellent about getting these guys on the air and him and I have struck a good relationship. Who knows, maybe some Indians guys will come on board with him now. :P
