I am not down in Arizona yet. I go there a week from today.

Not much on how he has looked. Going by the box score the other day though, the numbers were not promising as he still seems to have some issues with his control. Even so, it looks like they are going to give him a chance to battle his way through it and hopefully out of it as he likely opens the year in the Akron rotation.

I agree with the approach here, he will either get past this or not right now. If he doesn't get past it now, I think he needs to become a position player (he had a great bat and many thought he'd be drafted as a position player).

Yeah I've mentioned this before too. Part of it sounds like it could be a confidence/mental thing though (I know he went through a lot last year). So hopefully he can get his head into the game and stick with pitching......but we've seen a few people now that were high end talent pitchers switch to hitting.....

Tony in your opinion how has he looked. I know he has to have thrown in the past couple of days.

He threw on Thursday, so I did not see him. I believe he throws today (Mon) or Tues next, so will likely see him then. Saw him throw a bullpen on Satrurday, and he looked okay.

Last year Lofgren had to deal with a Family health issue, that still may be a great deal of worry for the young man. At only 23 years old he has a lot of baseball left, and a ton of talent. I would not be surprized to see Chuck in the middle of a Major League Rotation in 2010- 2011.
