Jason Knapp- retiring ?
I noticed that Jason Knapp has recently changed his profile on Facebook, and recent entries by friends seems to indicate that he may have ended his playing career, and begun his college life by enrolling at Penn. Any further information beyond these vague, unofficials signs ?

Re: Jason Knapp- retiring ?
If that is the case, good for Jason Knapp. The ship has sailed on Knapp for the Indians. At this point I think most of us have written him off. He's talented, but I'm always amazed looking at the draft and all of the HS arms that go in the top 2 rounds -- a lot of them project very well to the major leagues and are good prospects, but only a few actually reach their ceilings or even make the major leagues.
It had to be frustrating for Knapp with all of the injuries and rehab it had to be hard feeling like he was getting nowhere; he's got the rest of his life to live and the major leagues just weren't in the cards, despite have Brad Penny-like talents. To get the opportunity to go to Penn, one of the best universities in the world, that's an outstanding opportunity for him.
