RubberDucks fall to Curve 5-3 in series opener
A one-out RBI triple from Tyler Naquin in the bottom of the eighth would bring the RubberDucks within one run of Altoona, but the Curve would respond with another run in the top of the ninth to stay ahead and seal a 5-3 victory.

Tomlin leads Clippers past Braves 7-1
Columbus starter Josh Tomlin cruised through the Gwinnett Braves (12-9) lineup pitching eight scoreless innings as the Clippers (9-11) won 7-1 at Huntington Park in front of 7,119 in attendance on Friday.

With another season here, the IBI's Tony Lastoria digs up an article which has been a site favorite for a few years. He talks about the decisions teams make with their prospects and the way they are handled which provides a good idea of how a team values each player in the organization. Clippers force extra innings, earn 5-4 victory over Braves
The Gwinnett Braves (12-8) played from ahead through the middle innings after a sacrifice fly by Edward Salcedo gave them the lead in the fourth inning, but Clippers second basemen Ryan Rohlinger singled to left in the 11th inning to complete the comeback for Columbus (8-11) over the visiting Braves 5-4 on Thursday night at Huntington Park.

The Carolina Mudcats bounced back from a tough loss in their previous outing to shutout the Wilmington Blue Rocks 7-0 on Thursday night behind a big seventh inning, and a strong pitching performance from D.J. Brown.

Lugnuts win 10-2 to complete sweep of Captains
The Lansing Lugnuts (8-11) pounded out ten runs on eleven hits in the series finale on Thursday night, as they completed a four-game sweep of the Lake County Captains (5-15) with a 10-2 win. The Captains have dropped six straight games.

Davies masterful in RubberDucks 4-1 win
Akron RubberDucks right-hander Kyle Davies struck out a season-high nine batters over six and 2/3 innings Thursday afternoon, picking up his second win of the season, as the RubberDucks defeated the Trenton Thunder, 4-1, at Arm and Hammer Park.

Kluber hurls complete game in 5-1 victory over Royals
It was a day for smiles in the Indians series finale with Kansas City Thursday afternoon. And yes, even for Corey Kluber (2-2, 3.90 ERA), who had himself a career day on the mound in his fifth start. Tossing his first big league complete game victory, the right-hander led the Tribe past the Royals, 5-1 to win the four-game series. Clutch hitting leads to Indians 5-3 win over Royals
Solid starting pitching and clutch hitting made for a good recipe of success Wednesday night, as the Tribe took down Kansas City, 5-3. For the second straight game, the Royals offense would strike first on back-to-back home runs. But that wouldn't stop ace Justin Masterson from giving the Indians another quality start, as the offense behind Jason Kipnis came through late. Lake County Captains lose big lead, game to Lansing Lugnts
The Lake County Captains lost their fifth straight game Wednesday, falling to the Lansing Lugnuts, 6-5. The Captains held a 4-0 advantage, but saw the lead evaporate late. Even though Lake County had four players with multiple hits, Lansing simply found a way to get it done late when the Captains could not.

Carolina Mudcats lose tight battle with Wilmington Blue Rocks
The Carolina Mudcats lost a back and forth battle with the Wilmington Blue Rocks Wednesday, dropping their record to 10-9 this season. Carolina scored in the top of the first, but the Blue Rocks answered twice in the bottom half of the inning. Wilmington ended up sealing the win by blanking the dangerous Mudcats in the ninth inning.

Akron RubberDucks fall short against Trenton Thunder, 9-5
After giving up eight runs through the first four innings, the Akron RubberDucks made a desperate comeback attempt, but fell short as they lost to the Trenton Thunder, 9-5. Tyler Naquin tallied three hits, as did Tyler Holt, but the 12 total hits for the team were not enough to make up for a 1-11 showing with runners in scoring position.
