This is a series of articles here at the IBI where draft guru Jeff Ellis is going through all of the Indians June drafts in their history and determining the best picks they have made round by round. This is an interesting overview of their June draft history, and in some ways, a trip down memory lane of some draft successes (and failures).

The first full day after the Winter Meetings saw a couple of contending teams make some moves. Carlos Santana finally made his Winter Ball debut as well as his debut at third base and had a decent start playing error-less defense and collecting a hit on top of it. Indians sign David Adams, resign Carson and Cloyd
The Indians have announced that they have signed infielder David Adams to a major league contract. They have also signed right-handed pitcher Travis Banwart, outfielder Matt Carson and right-handed pitcher Tyler Cloyd to minor league deals and extended them invites to major league spring training.

Brady's striking pro debut brings a lot of hope for his future
The Indians continue to focus on picking up young, upside arms from the draft to add to the starting pitching mix in the minors. While they have not had a lot of luck in this endeavor in previous years, they have adjusted the development process for starting pitchers which may help them going forward. One such new arm added to the mix this year was 2013 5th round draft pick left-hander Sean Brady, and the IBI's Tony Lastoria recently sat down and talked with him about his pro debut and the draft.

Tribe Madness: Quicken Loans Region semi-finals results
The IBI Tribe Madness tournament pitting the 128 greatest Indians players of all time against one another in an NCAA basketball-like tournament continues with the results from the matchups in the semi-final round of the Quicken Loans Region. With two matchups involving four players, two will move into the Region Finals and two will go home. The region features C.C. Sabathia against Addie Joss and Mike Garcia against Joe Gordon.

The Winter Meetings have wrapped up, but the news and rumors continue to trickle in. The big news over the last 24 hours is the Indians pursuit of a closer which appears to be heating up as they reportedly have offers out to John Axford and Jaoquin Benoit. The Indians have an open spot on the 40-man roster, so they could be on the hunt for a pen arm to bring to spring training and see what happens with him. Jesus Aguilar seems to have found his stride again as he reached base twice and scored two runs. Unfortunately, he was about the only bright spot for Tribe prospects in action on Wednesday night as Ronny Rodriguez, Erik Gonzalez and Carlos Moncrief went hitless. Swinging for the Fences: Two Tribe hurlers ready to make good
By now, fans are familiar with the nicknames "Little Cowboy" and "The Herrmannator" as their recipients have been in Cleveland for a while now. But despite their tenure, starting pitcher Josh Tomlin and right-handed reliever Frank Herrmann have not yet had their 'golden opportunity' to prove themselves as their time with the actual big league club has been sporadic.
