Late Tuesday night, sources confirmed the Indians and free agent outfielder David Murphy are finalizing a two year deal worth roughly $10 million. Murphy, 32, played in 142 games this past season with the Texas Rangers, hitting .220 with 13 homers and 45 RBI.

The Indians had several players in action across three leagues in the Caribbean on Tuesday night. Joe Colon is a prospect on the rise that the Indians like, and he's out in Puerto Rico making up some lost innings this season due to injury. Also, others like Jesus Aguilar, Jose Ramirez and Erik Gonzalez keep on getting regular playing time for their winter ball teams.

He has emerged as one of the Indians better relief prospects and has an interesting arsenal. Many Cleveland faithful would prefer to forget the name Rich Hill sooner rather than later. However, as tough as he was to watch on the mound at times this season, he was only a symptom of an ongoing issue for the Indians in 2013. After the departures of left-handed relief mainstays Tony Sipp and Rafael Perez, the process of bringing in and testing new southpaw recruits proved to be more difficult than the team probably had envisioned. The IBI Tribe Madness tournament pitting the 128 greatest Indians players of all time against one another in an NCAA basketball-like tournament continues with the results from the matchups in round two of the Municipal Stadium Region. With four matchups involving eight players, four will move into the Region Semi-finals and four will go home. Some of the remaining names in this region include Tribe favorites such as Larry Doby, Early Wynn, Omar Vizquel, Hal Trosky and Gaylord Perry.

At this very moment last winter, Ryan Raburn was unemployed. Ending 2012 with a .171 batting average, he was cut from Detroit after playing just 66 games with the Tigers. One year later, he's revived his baseball career once again, this time some 170 miles south of Motown as a member of the Indians. IBI Tribe beat reporter Jim Berdysz wonders if Raburn should play every day in 2014.
