Aeros stomp Squirrels 9-3
Richmond, VA- The Akron Aeros got off to a slow start Saturday evening at The Diamond Stadium in Richmond, Virginia. The game against the Flying Squirrels went scoreless up until the last three innings when the Aeros were able to score nine runs to earn a 9-3 win and record a third straight victory.

Around the Farm: July 6, 2013
There was plenty of action to recap Saturday night in the Indians farm system as all the affiliates were in action, and there were also many outstanding performances. Joe Wendle continued his recent tear with a record-setting night at Carolina while Danny Salazar put together his latest brilliant effort on the mound. Columbus splits doubleheader with Bats
COLUMBUS- The Clippers split a doubleheader against the Louisville Bats Saturday. Right-hander Danny Salazar dazzled in the first contest, allowing just one hit on the way to a 4-0 blanking by Columbus but the Bats would rebound by earning a hard-fought 1-0 victory in the second affair.

Wendle sets franchise record in 7-2 win
ZEBULON – The Carolina Mudcats got one of their most complete games of the season as the pitching dominated and the offense took advantage of some timely pitching mistakes to earn a 7-2 win over the Salem Red Sox on Saturday night.

Hunter leads Tigers to 9-4 win
Torii Hunter fell a single short of the cycle to lead the Detroit Tigers to a 9-4 win over the Cleveland Indians Saturday. The Indians have now been outscored 16-4 by the Tigers in the first two games of the four-game series. Join the IBI's Nathan Kemp as he recaps all the action from Saturday's forgettable loss.

Lake County falls 4-3 in rain-shortened contest
After six victories in a row, The Captains had a rough start Saturday night against The Whitecaps. West Michigan held on to the lead and beat Lake County 4-3, snapping The Captains winning streak.

Trend Spotting: Corey Kluber and a split personality disorder
Of the many pieces that have fallen into place for the Indians so far Corey Kluber has been in all likelihood the most surprising. 2013 MLB Draft: July 6th signing update
The 2013 MLB Draft signing deadline on July 12th is fast approaching. The Indians have signed all of the bonus pool picks that there are going to sign and are $332,100 under budget which means they have some money they can use for post-10th round picks and not be at risk of being severely taxed or lose a first round pick. Here is an update on some of the post-10th round picks who the Indians have talked to and may be talking to.

Second Thoughts Game #86: Tigers 7, Indians 0
After pitching a complete-game shutout against the White Sox last weekend, Justin Masterson couldn’t make it out of the fifth inning before giving up six of the Tigers’ seven runs of the night. it was not the way the Indians wanted to start this four-game set, but it’s still only one game. However, it doesn’t get any easier from here on out. The IBI's Jake Dungan gives his second thoughts on Friday's disappointing loss to the Tigers.

AZL Indians roll Reds, 11-3
The AZL Indians extended their win streak to four games on Friday night, cruising by their complex rival AZL Reds by a count of 11-3. The offense propelled the AZL Indians, as Tribe hitters pounded out 13 hits and managed to put together a seven run, two out rally in the third to push the game out of reach early.

Aeros drives Squirrels nuts with 14 hits in 6-2 win
The hits just kept on coming for the Akron Aeros Friday night in Richmond. By the end of the night, the Flying Squirrels weren’t sure if they had been in a ball game or a special edition of American Top 40. After collecting 13 hits in a win on Thursday, the Aeros surpassed that mark by one, pounding out 14 hits on their way to a 6-2 victory over the Squirrels.

Mudcats set off lots of fireworks in 9-0 win over Salem
On the final night of Independence Day extravaganza, the Carolina Mudcats wanted to provide fireworks all night, and did in a 9-0 win over the Salem Red Sox on Friday night. The win boosts Carolina’s record to 5-9 in the second half and 27-57 overall.

Errors doom Scrappers in 6-3 loss to Crosscutters
A cavalcade of errors doomed the Scrappers, as they lost their second straight game of their three-game set with the Williamsport CrossCutters by a final score of 6-3.

Captains win sixth straight, beat Lansing 7-3
The Captains took down The Lugnuts for the fourth night in a row, defeating Lansing 7-3 Friday night. The win also brings Lake County's current winning streak to six wins in a row.

Espino, Carson propel Clippers over Bats, 7-3
The Clippers produced some of their own fireworks on this Fourth of July weekend. Lead by a monster seven-run second inning and a dominating outing by starter Paolo Espino, Columbus pounded the Louisville Bats 7-3 Friday in the first contest of a nine game home stand.
