Second Thoughts Game #94: Indians 5, Royals 3
Collecting five runs on nine hits, the Tribe needed just one of those hits Saturday night as they defeated Kansas City, 5-3. Sporting their throwback 1902 uniforms, it was on the back of starting pitcher Scott Kazmir (5-4, 4.60 ERA) and the bat of third baseman Lonnie Chisenhall that the Indians cruised to their second straight victory over the Royals. The win gives Cleveland their seventh series win over their last 32 games.

Around the Farm: July 13, 2013
The Indians organization just had one of those nights in which everyone seemed to bring out their whipping stick, and at every level. The headliners for the night are three years apart at the same level, but should be close in the end-of-the-year prospect rankings. Who are these two? Join Jim Pete, as he returns to weekend ATF duty in lieu of Steve Orbanek, who had the audacity to get married.

Rein's dominant outing leads Crushers past Greys, 4-1
After Greys starting pitcher Joe Zeller struck out Craig Hertler for the first out of the game, Greys catcher Chris Kay was so excited that he accidentally spiked the ball into the ground in front of him trying to throw down to third. It was bad, just like the Greys now 18-32 record. But the Crushers did exactly what has to be done when playing against last place teams. They beat the Greys 4-1 behind a dominant starting pitching performance from Matt Rein.

Second Thoughts Game #93: Royals 0, Indians 3
You have to give this young man credit. Here we are nearing the All-Star Break and not only has Corey Kluber filled a role vacated by the long-injured Brett Myers, he has taken tremendous strides practically out of nowhere to become a reliable and even at times dominant major league starter. Join the IBI's Jake Dungan as he recaps another gem tossed by the right-hander.

Carson’s triple in 8th sets up 2-1 victory for Columbus
Perhaps it was the “lucky” green uniforms the Clippers were wearing on Irish Heritage Night at Huntington Park or maybe it was the clutch hitting in the bottom of the eighth inning. Regardless, Columbus prevailed against the Toledo Mud Hens Friday with a narrow 2-1 victory.
