Aeros strong hitting downs Seawolves 12-4
There was speculation before the game to whether Fransisco Lindor would make his much-anticipated first appearance with the Aeros, and even though he did not, the Aeros did not show any signs of distraction and pulled out a solid 12 against the Erie SeaWolves on Monday night at Canal Park.

Second Thoughts Game #95: Indians 6, Royals 4
Down 4-3 in the home half of the sixth, the Tribe scored three runs off Royals lefty Tim Collins to route Kansas City, 6-4 sweeping the three-game series. No hit was bigger than shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera’s two-run double off Collins in the inning, giving Cleveland the late lead it would not waiver. Triple-A Columbus reached the All Star break on Sunday, just like the parent club in Cleveland. As Columbus rests up over the break and the rest of the affiliates continue to play on, there will continue to be some amazing stories in the minors this season. One player who has not necessarily amazed but who has made some big strides this season is Tyler Naquin, and there are others!

Aeros thrown for a curve by Altoona, lose 9-4
Slugger Alex Dickerson has a favorite team to hit against. Sunday afternoon at Canal Park, he showed why that team is the Akron Aeros, as the Curve right fielder nearly hit for the cycle and helped fuel a 9-4 Altoona victory.

Clippers head into All Star break with 6-1 win over Indians
The Columbus Clippers entered the All-Star Break after devastating the Indianapolis Indians Sunday evening. Thanks to strong pitching from Columbus the Indians were unable to make a comeback against the Clippers’ vigorous offense and ultimately lost, 6-1.

Crushers fall just short of sweep, lose 3-2 to Greys
Lake Erie fell a few feet short of a four game sweep of the Frontier Greys Sunday in Avon falling 3-2 in a defensive battle. All star Dave Middendorf just didn't have it in him as he made one crucial mistake in his four innings of work on the mound.

Naquin, Smith lead Mudcats past Keys in 5-3 win
Outfielders Tyler Naquin and Jordan Smith played critical roles in a 5-3 win for the Carolina Mudcats on Sunday night at Harry Grove Stadium. The pair combined for six hits against the Frederick Keys as the Mudcats (11-11, 33-59) returned to .500 in the second half.

Indians head into All Star break on a high note, sweep Royals
Asdrubal Cabrera hit a two-run double in the sixth as the Cleveland Indians beat the Kansas City Royals 6-4 Sunday afternoon to earn a sweep. The Tribe has now won five of their last six games to push their record to 51-44 and trail the Detroit Tigers by 1.5 games in the American League Central Division. Cleveland has its most wins at the All-Star break since 2007--the last time the Indians made the playoffs.

Captains snap four game skid, win 4-3
After four straight losses, the Captains grabbed a 4-3 victory over the Timber Rattlers on Sunday afternoon. With the , it brought Lake County to a 13-10 record for the second half of the season and it's also their first win on their six game road trip throughout Wisconsin.

Indians activate Wood from DL, option him to Columbus
The Cleveland Indians today announced they have recalled right-handed reliever Blake Wood from his 30-day rehab assignment with the Triple-A Columbus Clippers, activated him from the 60-day Disabled List and optioned him to Columbus. To make room on the 40-man roster the Indians outrighted catcher Omir Santos to Columbus.

Naquin nears a promotion, but still working to improve
Indians outfield prospect Tyler Naquin is having a very good first full season at High-A Carolina. He has shown off his hitting skills, exceptional arm, and rapidly improving defense in center field. There is talk a promotion may be coming for him very soon, but in the meantime there are a few things he is working on. The IBI's Zachary Francis recently caught up with him and had a long conversation about his season, what he is working on and more.

Second Thoughts Game #94: Indians 5, Royals 3
Collecting five runs on nine hits, the Tribe needed just one of those hits Saturday night as they defeated Kansas City, 5-3. Sporting their throwback 1902 uniforms, it was on the back of starting pitcher Scott Kazmir (5-4, 4.60 ERA) and the bat of third baseman Lonnie Chisenhall that the Indians cruised to their second straight victory over the Royals. The win gives Cleveland their seventh series win over their last 32 games.

Around the Farm: July 13, 2013
The Indians organization just had one of those nights in which everyone seemed to bring out their whipping stick, and at every level. The headliners for the night are three years apart at the same level, but should be close in the end-of-the-year prospect rankings. Who are these two?
