Captains break losing streak with 9-6 win
FORT WAYNE – The Lake County Captains overcame a six-game losing streak on Saturday with a 9-6 win over the Fort Wayne TinCaps. Right-hander Mitch Brown (0-1, 15.43) made his second start of the season to counter Fort Wayne righty and Ohio native Justin Hancock (1-0, 3.86). Brown looked to rebound from an ugly first start in which he couldn’t escape the first inning.

Winston Salem, N.C. -- The Carolina Mudcats were unable to follow up on their series sweep of the Winston Salem Dash from a week earlier, and fell 4-1 to the Dash on Saturday night at BB&T Ballpark. Pitching falters again as Aeros fall 7-6
A terrible illness seems to be seeping down from the big league club and infecting the pitchers on the Akron Aeros' staff. Akron fell to the Bowie Baysox at Prince George's Stadium 7-6 after the team gave up seven runs for the second consecutive night. The Aeros have allowed 50 runs in nine games on the season -- a shocking 5.56 runs per game -- the key reason for their slow 3-6 start.

Lake County offers Sisco a chance at a new beginning
The minor leagues are all about learning and development. New beginnings are a constant and for Cleveland Indians’ starter Jake Sisco, new beginnings are occurring both on and off the field. Sisco, 22, was the Indians’ third-round pick of the 2011 draft and is pitching in the starting rotation for Low-A Lake County, and according to the IBI's Stephanie Metzger has a chance to start over this season after a tough year last year.

Around The Farm: April 12, 2013
For the first time in a while, there were no rainouts on the farm and every team was in action. The return to action was not pretty for everyone, as Daisuke Matsuzaka and the Lake County defense struggled mightily. There were some positives, though, like the late-game heroics from Chun Chen for the Aeros and more power from Bryson Myles. Join Arthur Kinney as he navigates it all and goes Around The Farm.

Captains drop sixth straight, 9-1
The Fort Wayne Tincaps (5-3) used some early offense and solid pitching to drop the Lake County Captains (1-6) to their sixth straight loss by a final score of 9-1 on Friday night. Orbiting Cleveland: Attendance woes linger
As usual, the Cleveland Indians drew a sellout crowd to the home opener on Monday as 41,567 fans came to Progressive Field excited about the start to what could be a very exciting year. Yet on Tuesday, that number was down all the way to 12,663. The number becomes even worse to look at when you realize the Indians were playing the New York Yankees. So what's the deal with the Tribe's attendance woes? Join the IBI's Steve Orbanek as he touches on them in this week's edition of Orbiting Cleveland.
