Scrappers, Jammers halted by rain
The Scrappers traveled to Jamestown seeking to make the most of their short two game road trip. They got off to a good start Thursday night, jumping out to a 6-3 lead early on against the Jammers. The weather failed to cooperate, however, as heavy rain forced the game to be suspended after just three innings of play.

The Quad Cities River Bandits (14-12, 49-46) jumped on the Lake County Captains (14-12, 45-50) early and got a great night from their pitching staff to snap the Captains’ five game winning streak.

On-Deck with the Captains: 7/12/12 - 7/18/12
The Captains are currently on a five-game winning streak and everything is clicking for them. Jordan Smith was named the Indians Minor League Player of the Week for the second time this season, and lots of other players on the roster have really played well of late. Lianna Holub checks in with her weekly notebook "On-Deck with the Captains" to recap the week that was...

In today’s Minor Happenings, Tony takes a look at the no-hitter by lefty Giovanni Soto and the development he has made this year as a prospect, the strides Jordan Smith has made both offensively and defensively, he runs through another infirmary report with several updates on some of the walking wounded in the system, talks with the Indians front office about players at several different levels in the system, and tons more.

Second Thoughts: Game #91 - Indians 10, Rays 6
The Indians exploded offensively last night and scored ten runs with two outs and beat the Rays 10-6 in a much needed win for them. Justin Masterson struggled, but the bullpen and defense kept them close until the offense found a way to break...and then Carlos Santana's moon shot put the game away. Charlie Adams breaks down the game only how he can in today's "Second Thoughts".

Around the Farm: July 18, 2012
Tyler Cannon is a name that not many people have been paying attention to in the Indians system, but he's quietly becoming a factor in the system, both offensively and defensively. The Lake County offensive crew seems to be back on track and loaded for bear, led by some pesky infielder named Lindor. At the top of the charts on Wednesday night is one of my favorite players in the system...if only the Indians would feel the same way...

The Scrappers and Spikes engaged in high-scoring affair Wednesday night, with the Spikes coming out victorious 8-6. Josh Martin took the hill, looking to earn his fourth straight win. Clippers lose close one to Bats, 4-2
On a night when Huntington Park was celebrating Columbus’ bicentennial, the Clippers (49-49) were dealt a heartbreaking loss to the Louisville Bats (37-62) on Wednesday by a final score of 4-2. Donning light blue uniforms bearing the number “200,” the Clippers were frustrated throughout the night by dominant Bats pitching and a controversial call by the umpires in a critical situation.
