Mudcats enjoy late scoring frenzy in 10-6 win
The Carolina Mudcats scored 10 runs over the final four innings to pull away from the Frederick Keys 10-6 in front of 1,823 on a rainy Monday night at Harry Grove Stadium. The Mudcats improve to 22-21, and drop the Frederick Keys to 14-26 in the process. Will Roberts (2-2) earned his second winning decision by holding the Keys to four runs over six innings.

Around the Farm: May 21, 2012 - Beaning LaPorta
With speculation running amok with regards to Matt LaPorta, the beat goes on for the rest of the Indians' system here at ATF. In today's daily fix, Tony Wolters is slowly but surely creeping out of the offensive dungeon found in the Carolina League. Matt LaPorta is busy getting beaned multiple times, while Loek Van Mil has been rumored to have gained four inches and four MPH on his fastball. Our top spot on ATF goes to an apparent power-hitting third baseman, who's just lately found it. Check out who, after the jump...

Bellows remains red hot, Aeros win 5-1
The Akron Aeros downed the Trenton Thunder 5-1 on Monday thanks to the bat of Kyle Bellows and the formidable arms of the Aeros’ bullpen. Right-hander Brett Brach (1-1, 4.26) took the bump for Akron in his third start with the team against Trenton’s Brett Marshall (4-2, 2.98).

Captains win in walkoff fashion, 2-1
It took 11 innings on Monday night, but the Captains (22-22) finally broke through against the first-place Lansing Lugnuts (31-13), winning by a score of 2-1. In the bottom of the 11th inning, Lake County only hit one ball out of the infield. That play also resulted in their only out of the inning, a lineout to left field by shortstop Francisco Lindor.

Kluber, Clippers get roughed up by Yankees
Second inning heroics by the Scranton/WB Yankees put the Columbus Clippers in too much of a hole to climb back, and they lost on Monday night 9-6. After the Clippers tied the series with the Yankees on Sunday, they went into Monday night’s game looking to take command of the four game series. The Clippers sent right-hander Corey Kluber (3-4) to the mound and attempted to win consecutive games for the first time since May 5-8.

Ranking the Cleveland Indians’ Roster at the 40-Game Mark
Updating his rankings from the preseason, Jim Piascik takes another crack at sorting out the Indians' roster from top to bottom now that we've passed the 40-game mark. It's easy to know that Jason Donald has been worse than Asdrubal Cabrera, but what about Donald and Dan Wheeler? Or Cabrera and Carlos Santana? Read on to find out where each player that has donned an Indians uniform this year ranks.

Around the Farm: May 20, 2012
David Huff continues working towards getting healthy, and had another outstanding start for Columbus. T.J. McFarland is doing everything he can to be the best starting pitcher in the organization (again). While those two lefties were busy doing everything they could to take the top spot in ATF, another lefty stole their thunder, and may just be ready for the big leagues. Jim Pete brings another edition of IPI, after the jump...

Second Thoughts: Game #41 Marlins 5, Indians 3
The Indians were looking to win the rubber match of their series against the Miami Marlins, and they had their de facto ace, Derek Lowe on the hill. Thanks to an offense that couldn't get it done, and a bullpen that saw it's fringe relievers struggle, the Marlins and Ozzie Guillen took the series with a 5-3 win. Jeff gives his "Second Thoughts," as he does every Sunday...

Mudcats drop finale and series to Potomac
The Potomac Nationals took an early lead and never looked back as they defeated the Carolina Mudcats 4-2 on Sunday afternoon at Pfitzer Stadium. After decimating the Nationals on Friday night 12-5, the Mudcats let two consecutive games slip away and ended their three game road trip to Northern Virginia on a low note.
