Brach Is Just Living The Dream
When it comes to big time Division 1 college baseball programs, Monmouth University is nowhere near the top of that list.
In fact, many Indians fans have probably never even heard of the school before or know where it is even located. For those who have even heard of it, the most likely reason is because of some NCAA Men

For the first time in a long time the Cleveland Indians were participants and not just spectators in the Rule 5 Draft. Going into yesterday's draft the Indians had not selected a player in the Rule 5 Draft since right-hander Neomar Flores from the Astros in the Triple-A phase of the 2004 Draft, and the last player they took in the Major League phase was infielder Travis Chapman seven years ago in the...

12/10/2009 10:47 A.M. ET: Here is some quick info on the Indians new pickup in the Rule 5 Draft, right-hander Hector Ambriz. The Indians got an extensive look at him back when he was at UCLA as he was a teammate of lefty David Huff who they were scouting heavily at the time. He throws a fastball that sits 91-93 MPH and touches up to 95 MPH. His splitter is a very good pitch and is his out pitch. Indians...

While they have only a small handful of truly elite arms with ceilings as potential top of the rotation arms or backend relievers, they have a lot of pitchers who could fill a depth role as a backend of the rotation starter or a middle reliever.
