The 2012 Transaction Rundown: May 5-11

Another week chock full of transactions in the Indians' organization has just been completed.  The highlights this week again tended towards the negative, as the Aeros lost their closer (RHP Preston Guilmet) to a lower back strain and the Clippers'outfield found itself severely shorthanded after Trevor Crowe's promising start to the season hit a roadblock in the form of a right oblique injury. That's not to say that there wasn't anything positive, as Ezequiel Carrera was placed on the temporarily Inactive list to witness the birth of his second child (Congratulations, Ezequiel!).  In other transactions news, the Indians made their first use of the new 26-man doubleheader roster rule by calling up RHP Zach McAllister for a spot start.  Finally, a BIG welcome to the Tribe organization goes out to RHP Loek Van Mil!
