Phew! The transaction wire got a much needed breather this week after last Friday's Transactionpalooza! craziness. That's not to say stuff didn't happen. The Indians decided that enough was enough re: Jeanmar Gomez in the Big Club rotation. Scott Barnes re-familiarized himself with the northern half of Interstate 71 (He could probably drive it in his sleep by now). It was exit Chris Schwinden and Andy LaRoche, enter Vinny Rottino at the corner of Nationwide and Neil. Toru Murata underwent the Dwight Childs Experience (Akron DL to Columbus roster to Columbus DL in 3 days). Joe Sever arrived in the Mahoning Valley. Finally, and probably most importantly for any chance of the Cleveland Indians making the American League playoffs, WE HAVE A PRONK SIGHTING!!!
On a serious note, thoughts and prayers for Jeremie Tice and the entire Tice family on the passing of Jeremie's grandfather (the reason for Jeremie's placement on the bereavement list noted below).
