The 2012 Transaction Rundown: August 25-31

Welcome ot the final full edition of the Transaction Rundown (the Arizona League regular season ended on August 29th and the Indians did not make the playoffs). There will be a September 1-7 edition to cover the September call-ups and any pre-playoffs shuffling to the Aeros and Captains rosters, but I'm not sure how the final four weeks of the season will be handled (weekly, bi-weekly, one big wrapup at the end of the season). Watch this space next week for more info.
On to the roster transactions, then. LeVon Washington (Carolina) and Hector Rondon (Akron) got off their AZL rehab assignments and returned to fully competititve baseball. Shelley Duncan was Designated for Assignment and outrighted to the Columbus Clippers. Francisco Jimenez found his way to the 7-day DL while Kyle Petter found his way off and back on again in the span of 5 days. I'm just glad that I'm not doing this for the Boston Red Sox organization, however, as the Short-Season A Lowell Spinners alone would've taken up 15 line items on this list on August 30th (not joking).
