In this MLB News and Notes segment, we give reports on the latest news and rumors throughout the MLB.

Here are the stories from Friday, June 13.

Tribe News:

- Outfielder Nyjer Morgan continues to rehab his left knee at the Indians spring training complex in Goodyear, Arizona. He has been doing running drills in the pool to help build up is leg strength and is doing some light throwing.

- Early on Friday afternoon the Indians announced that they recalled lefty Kyle Crockett from Triple-A Columbus and optioned lefty Nick Hagadone to Columbus.

News and Notes:

- According to Jorge Castillo of the Star-Ledger, Yankees manager Joe Girardi said that CC Sabathia is not expected to return until after the All Star break and Michael Pineda will be out until at least August.

- The Yankees have agreed with reliever Heath Bell on a minor league contract. The Rays acquired him in a trade earlier in the season and recently released him.

Jason Kubel has cleared waivers and refused his outright assignment by the Twins. He was originally designated for assignment on Sunday. Now that he has cleared waivers the Twins may release him.

- The Rays have claimed Angel Sanchez off of waivers from the Marlins. He had been designated for assignment in order to create roster room for Rafael Furcal.

- The Padres slow start after a payroll bump in the offseason has the front office and ownership looking at potential changes to the roster. Ken Rosenthal speculates that hitting coach Phil Plantier could be the first to take the fall.
