Jim and Tony roll out another Smoke Signals on the eve of the Indians playing their first Spring Training game in Goodyear, Arizona. The IBI columnists take one last crack on the important moves of note that could and should be made during Spring Training, look at positional batters, talk impact players and look at their Spring Training wishlist. Here's the rundown of today's show:

4:15--What is Lonnie Chisenhall's role with the Indians in 2014, and how good can Santana be?

11:20--Roster versatility for the Indians

13:00--How good will Santana be offensively?

16:30--A quick look at the bench player

18:57--Lonnie Chisenhall is hitting clean-up in game 1, so he's clearly won the job...;)

20:40--Trevor Bauer and the #5 slot in the rotation

26:00--Homer Bailey deal

27:30--Can the Indians sign Masterson?

33:00--The Indians big picture salary wise, and how the Tribe has depth.

37:10--Which minor leaguer might make the biggest impact with the Indians in 2014?

39:20--CC Lee is almost forgotten, but could be the next Vinnie Pestano

41:25--The growth of Jesus Aguilar.

47:10--What do Jim and Tony want to see happen in the Spring Training heading into the season?

53:00--This is a big year for Carlos Carrasco.

a seperate blog which i wanted isolated that should be in the back of your mind was a speech delivered by sen marco rubio about the turmoil and i mean turmoil ala the Ukraine turmoil in venezuela could have adverse effects on aquilar, carrasco, and cabbie and a couple minor leaguers from venezuela it is really bad there and those guys have family there. Baseball is a funny game so many factors go into it and things such as what is happening down in venezuela since the death of chavez, (another despot) They are now shooting people in the head there. Lets hope the sanity or some semblance of it returns to caracas.

JIM & TONY, a great smoke signals interesting to critique it is all positive except i am not so sure that gomes is gonna catch 120 games ideally i would like to see 80 to 90 for each carlos and yan. as for designated hitter dont forget that nick swisher might welcome playing more at DH. I certainly hope that elliot doesnt make the team I previous noted that ryan raburn should play significantly more time at second base to spell jason. I dont remember raburn playing at second at all in 2013 but he may have had an occasional game there i would like to see raburn get 20 to 28 games at second to keep kip rested and effective through out september. very effective use of an hour time to summerize the pre spring training issue.
