Smoke Signals 5/1: Heeeerrrrrre’s Johnny Edition
May 1, 2012
Smoke Signals is back on the cyberwaves tonight from 10:00 – 11:00PM EST. The one hour show is hosted by Tony Lastoria and Jim Pete and airs every Tuesday night at this time. With Smoke Signals back to its normal one hour format it allows us much more time to talk about several topics surrounding the team, talk about the recently completed game that night, and have guests on quite regularly.
On tonight’s show Jim and I will talk about the debut of Johnny Damon with the Indians. Since the game with the White Sox will be in about the 6th or 7th inning when we come on the air, Damon will have already had at least two at bats so we will give our initial thoughts on his play as well as on some of the events of the game. We will also discuss how Damon can help the offense and if the Indians made the right decision with regard to the player they removed from the roster to add him. In addition to Damon, we will talk about the Matt LaPorta insanity and try and decide if he has really figured things out and when he may get another chance in Cleveland. We will also take a look at the AL Central and if the Indians can continue to keep pace with the Tigers and White Sox in the division over the long haul of the season. We will also talk about High-A Carolina and Low-A Lake County in the last segment of the show.
For those that are subscribed to the Smoke Signals feed through iTunes, you will also now be getting a new show included in that feed. Every Sunday “The Inside Pitch” runs for a half hour from 7:00-7:30PM EST and is hosted by IPI site contributors Jeff Ellis and Andrew Zajac. The show will have a strong focus on fantasy baseball, but will also cover other topics surrounding MLB and the Indians from time to time.
Feel free to call us at 1-347-202-0338 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to talk about anything on your mind. Thanks again for listening!
