Gets the pen back to a 7 man group which helps to get guys regular work, it allows Bourn to play back into shape at MLB level, & while expanding the bench it also allows Terry F to rest Stubbs and Brantley for a few days before Pestano gets deactivated...
Pretty sure we should wait about a month before jumping up and down about Kasmir. Ditto for historical streak hitters like Rayburn and Reynolds. Let's see if they beat recent history.
Nice job by Kazmir. Five innings, two runs - I'll take that all year long. It was against the second worst offense in the AL, but still, not too shabby.
It's great to see Kipnis hitting with power. Two HR's and a triple to deep center the last week. He got another triple today although the ball should have been caught.
A couple of nice defensive plays by Chiz. He's not doing much with the bat right now, so at least he's contributing in the field.
Joe Smith finally walked a batter and of course he scored. Oh well, I didn't expect Smith to finish the season with an ERA of 0.00.
Both Smith and Perez looked a little rusty. They haven't been getting much work.
Stubbs is really looking relaxed and smooth at the dish. He's putting really good swings on the ball and hitting for power. And Reynolds just keeps rolling from April into May.
The whole team is clicking right now and those two-out hits keep coming. It's beautiful to watch.
Maybe we should hold off on LaPorta being done. Small sample but .......
