The Cleveland Indians today announced that they have recalled infielder Jose Ramirez from Triple-A Columbus and optioned left-handed pitcher T.J. House to Columbus.

Ramirez, 21, has spent the bulk of the 2014 season with Triple-A Columbus where he is batting .302 (74-245) with 15 doubles, 2 triples, 5 home runs and 29 RBI in 60 games for the Clippers. He has also collected a team-leading 19 stolen bases (T6th in International League), 4th-most among all Tribe minor leaguers. Ramirez appeared in 11 games for the Indians earlier this season from May 2-19 (2-25, 1 RBI, 4 RS).

House, 24, worked 5.0 innings (6 H, 3 R-ER, 3 BB, 2 SO) in Monday’s 4-3 loss to the Twins and has gone 1-2 with a 4.50 ERA (25 ER/50.0 IP) across his first 9 Major League starts (10 appearances) with the Indians this season.
